Carlos Gago Aragon holds a Degree in Spanish Studies (University of Salamanca), a Postgraduate Research Certificate in History and Fiction (University of Bir­mingham, UK), and he is a visual artist and a professional tattooist. He is trained in audiovisual content creation by the Community of Madrid and also in legal, economic, and literary translation. Carlos was granted a scholarship by the University of Birmingham where he worked in a project on Cuban Literature in the 90's Special Period.

He was the Director of the Spanish Department of the University of Belize (2006-2009) -appointed through the Spanish International Agency for Develop­ment and Cooperation (AECID). During his tenure, he worked in the evaluation and development of the Spanish-teaching programs in Belize and he was project manager of the Degree in Spanish Studies that was approved by the Ministry of Education of Belize in 2009. He collaborated with the Consulate of Spain in Belize and the Embassy of Spain in Guatemala.

After finishing his contract with the AECID, he worked as and in-house translator for one of the leading Spanish companies in Intellectual and Industrial Property.

Since 2006 he has traveled and lived in Birmingham (UK), Belize, Guatemala, Cuba, Madrid, Barcelona, Guadalajara (Mexico), and Lisbon. He is currently working as a freelance translator and collaborates with Inspiration Persona as a Content Curator and Academic Director. He is also working on several art projects and he is writing his first novel.
